| I'll be doing this:
... anyone else wanna play?
|
| I find it interesting how annoyed and bored I was at lying around on my side all evening on Friday on doctor's orders versus how happy and relaxed I feel lying around on my side for about the same amount of time this morning as my own choice. Kinda silly isn't it? | |

| "... and then Sulu, who is at heart a swashbuckler out of your 18th century" -Spock "The Naked Time"
Maybe a reincarnation fic crossover with Pirates of the Carribean?
Anyone?
Also, for gods sake, doesn't anyone in the 23rd century wash their hands?!

| Today was the second to last day of Ren Faire.
I'm sure I will be very sad by the end of the day tomorrow but today was the best day of faire so far and I feel stupidly happy about the whole thing.
And then next weekend I get to have my weekends back and start getting my life ready for this whole baby thing.
did I mention stupidly happy?
*hugs you all* | |

| After spending a long day out it in the heat and dust of Faire yesterday I drove straight to the bigger theatre in my home town where I met my husband in line for the 9:55 IMAX showing of Star Trek!!!!
I may not have managed to see it opening night, but I still managed opening weekend. And in IMAX!
And I freaking LOVED IT!!!!!!!
There is so much I could say about so many things but I am still far too flaily to make much sense.
All I know is that I walked out of the theatre wanting MORE!!!11!!!!1!!!MORE!MORE!!!!!!!
I will definitely be seeing this again in the theater and getting it for home consumption as soon as it is available! And gods! please tell me that they will make me some more of the good crack! Please!!1!
although, I wouldn't mind them making the next one with a few more women in it.

| First, Happy mother's day to all the mom's on my flist/circle!
So many of you are an inspiration and a joy in the way you parent.
My girls spent the night at a friend's house last night so there is no breakfast in bed for me this morning, but that is OK since it was planned and we just moved mother's day a day early. So yesterday I got woken up at 6:45 with breakfast and pressies. (yes it was ok that it was so early, we are supposed to be on fairesite at 8:00 am which is an hour away, part of the gift for this morning of them staying over at their friend's house is that I don't have to be out there until 1:00 so we are taking it easy and moseying out of here at 10:00 or 11:00)
I got two things I asked for and one thing I just really love.
Rose gave me a new dressmakers mannequin to replace the one I have that they and their friends destroyed by using it as a dance partner. - Asked for.
Link (the as yet unborn baby in the guise of my husband) gave me a Wii Fit. - Asked for.
And Amber gave me a little snoopy dog holding a heart that says "Happiness is Knowing you are Loved" She was all worried that I wasn't going to like it as much as the other gifts, that it was "kinda a lame gift." It was given along with a Snoopy card that says "Roses are red/Beagles have spots/When it comes to good wishes/I'm sending you lots." The fact of the matter is that this shows just how well my kid knows me. Also: Roses are Red, Beagles have Spots!!!! I lolled!
Just in case anyone here doesn't know, I love Snoopy. I had my 21st birthday party at Camp Snoopy at Knott's Berry Farm, I have four freaking beagles for crissakes! How could she think I wouldn't absolutely love it. Especially after my husband mentioned to me later that she went out of her way to find it. -Just really love.

| I had great and glorious plans to go see the midnight showing of Star Trek last night with a whole group of friends and my husband.
Instead, I got sick yesterday, had to call in to work and only even managed to watch the "THEN" part of Supernatural before I passed out. I really, really, really want to go see it right now but the girls are also home sick and I told my husband I would wait to see it with him, not to mention my car is in the shop for today.
Is a sad panda.
In the good news column:
I finally got the girls the kittens they have been asking for forever. We got first pick of a litter of six. They both wound up picking girls. Amber chose a mostly black calico with an orange stripe down her nose and named her Midna Velcro Cat. Rose bonded with a black and white (more white with black spots) and named her Pope Catalonia II.
In conclusion: being sick sucks, missing Star Trek sucks, kittens make the world better.

| I've been trying to figure out why I have been so drained recently. Yesterday I had the priviledge of sitting around the doctor's office drinking a nasty glucose drink and waiting to have my blood drawn. They called me today to tell me I'm seriously anemic. My glucose levels were also a little off so on monday I get the great pleasure of going back to the doctor's office to have a three hour glucose tolerence test. Oh the joy!
But at least I now know what's wrong with my energy levels. Now I just need to get myself some iron.
The things we do for our kids. Even befor they're born.

| There once was a mother to be Who in a bodice had been a sight to see But her new surcoat lent Her body the shape of a tent She wailed "what has happened to me?" | |
